I can't help but think that you're using your logo-making techniques in your drawings, gradients and all that. That's not the way to go.
You have a tablet, correct? Try sketching anything, apply basic colors to it, no shading at all. DO NOT use gradients, that's half-assing it, just pick shaded colors and apply it to your work.

I like the flames around his hands, they're the only real looking thing in this drawing, was it a stock or did you make it? If you made it then why not do what you did to the rest of the drawing?

@Pry: He's not ballet dancing/figure skating D:. It's him landing from a really long/high jump in the air n_n... yeah... uhm... ;-;

@Wizard: You're right :X. I am kinda using my stuff I use for logo-making into my drawings ;-;. It looks so much cleaner though... I can't help but hate how I draw people/things/objects in Photoshop that I just had to give Illustrator a try. I guess it's not appreciated ;-;.

You've probably seen my other work... my shading just doesn't cut it in Photoshop, even with a tablet :\.

And the flames are self-made in Photoshop. And.... ^ is the reason why I didn't do it to the rest of the drawing.

mmm, i have to say, this is one of the pieces i like least by you the body proportions are off and it looks TOOOO feminine. The tail is unnaturally large and weird, and the complete lack of shading in the body makes it weird; also, the leg landing the jump is the right leg, but upon first glance, you want to assume its the left leg because it's just as big as the other one, and the depth in perspective when you view it just isn't there....so if you think its the left leg and not the right and then you go up and you see that the left leg is actually in the air its like o.o

Mainly that it's too thin, there's no muscle and the tail's the same size as the legs, so that part looks off too
