Just curious because a friend of mine bought me like 2 bags of calcium chews 600mg per chew. I've been eating one a day for about a week or so. Was wondering if it's okay for me to do so or is it a bad thing?

That's fine. I used to take calcium pills. One of the people I work with takes two 600mg calcium chews everyday. At your age, you should be getting a daily intake of around 1000mg a day. Try not to eat too many. If you plan on eating more than one a day (no more than two), make sure they are spaced out in the day (my person takes one at breakfast and one at dinner). Excess calcium is harder to flush out of your body than other vitamins and minerals (which can exit your body through your wastes). Bones act as reservoirs for calcium.
But yeah, one calcium chew a day is no biggie. And they are yummy.

Err, I have no idea. When I bought them, I bought them intending to have as a supplement as I consume other dairy products, and the pharmacist said it was okay.

Though constipation may occur; but that's more common with iron.
And yes to the "rejection" its just your body saying "hang on, i've got calcium already, noty" Which is a /good/ thing.
Calcium is one of those fantastic metals that your body is actually quite good at controlling levels of. In contrast to something like iron, which you could shit bricks and not get rid of.
